For many, a limo ride is an enjoyable leisurely experience that they do not get often . Limousine companies must maintain their fleet and make sure that the cars are in the best condition possible. Besides regular cleaning and maintenance, one effective low cost way to protect and maintain a limousine is by utilizing a limousine cover. These covers provide a wide variety of services including protection from UV rays, rain, ice, snow, dirt, and salty air that can damage paint and harm the vehicle. If you are serious about ensuring that your limousine remains in the best shape possible then you should consider investing in a cover.
Limousine covers have grommets that allow the cover to fit tightly. You can also purchase a cable lock which will prevent thieves from accessing the interior of the vehicle as well as stealing the cover itself.
Limousine covers are easy to clean as well. Most limousine covers are machine washable and able to be dry-cleaned when they become dirty. However, placing a cover in a dryer can cause shrinkage so if not dry cleaned then the only other option is to hang it out to dry. Since covers are mold and mildew resistant, there is no danger from prolonged exposure to water. Limousine covers are also available in a variety of colors and styles that allow for some degree of personalization. Most quality limo covers retail for approximately $150. Some can be as high as $200, although these prices are based on size and warranty.
Whether one has a personal limousine or a fleet of limousines, a limousine cover is one the most important investments that one can make. Limo covers come at a reasonable price and will increase the lifespan of your vehicle.

Winter can be very harsh on automobiles, especially on the east coast. Anybody living where there is a heavy amount of snow over the winter months need to take these steps to insure good mechanical and cosmetic health for their vehicle.
1st; proper changing of fluids.. New coolant, replenishing windshield wiper fluid, and an oil change. Fluid build-up through the winter can damage all different types of parts inside your car. Most service options at mechanic shops will take care of these processes for you.
2nd; Make sure you always keep your gas tank from getting low. Keeping your gas too low can cause fuel lines to freeze.
3rd; Another One other consideration is getting a brand new set of winter tires. Particularly with rear-wheel drive autos which can make your driving experience safer in the snow. Make sure that the pressure in your tires is where it needs to be.
4th; One other important tool during the winter is to have a strong vehicle cover to protect it from harsh weather conditions.
These steps are extremely important if you want your car to have a long lifespan and higher resell value.

Few automobile owners stop to think about the true extent of the hazardous conditions that their vehicle must endure, and the cost of failing to protect a car’s finish can be expensive. While it is true that anything driven on a regular basis will encounter hazards, the most damage is caused when these pollutants are allowed to sit on the paint’s surface overnight or for an extended period of time. The good news is that a discount car cover can provide the necessary protection and should be used anytime a vehicle is going to be left outside in the elements. A consumer needs to realize that there are many benefits of purchasing a discount car cover, but a few of the more popular ones are highlighted below.
A discount car cover can protect a car’s surface and this often enables a vehicle to maintain its value for a longer period of time. Every consumer knows that most vehicles are poor investments, but protecting the exterior and the paint finish is an excellent way to retain value. Whether a person is considering selling their car or trading it in to the dealer, the amount of money that will be gained by keeping it in excellent condition is more than enough to pay for protection.
Most individuals do not want to drive around in a vehicle that looks as if it is older than it actually is. Although car enthusiasts are familiar with the fact that using a discount car cover can help a car maintain its showroom appearance, most drivers simply accept that their paint job is going to become blemished and faded. The unfortunate truth is that not taking proper care of a vehicle’s surface is expensive and the end result is not very desirable.
Although it is a very important purchase, a discount car cover doesn’t need to be difficult to select. The most important characteristics are durability and ease of application. Car covers that are not practical to apply on a regular basis will most likely not be used very often. Whether a vehicle is going to sit outside overnight or even sit inside for an extended period of time, a discount car cover can help an owner take proper care of their vehicle and its exterior. Having to repaint a vehicle can prove to be both costly and time consuming, but it is far easier to prevent damage in the first place.

Many people leave their cars outside unprotected day after day. It’s a foolish mistake, as the environment can take a heavy toll on any vehicle, whether it’s a beat up old clunker or a brand new luxury car. If you don’t have a garage, a car cover is a great way to protect your car from the elements. It protects your car’s paint from fading, and also helps protect the car’s interior and trim as well. You don’t have to shell out a lot of money to get a good cover; there are many cheap car covers available that are very good quality and are a terrific choice to shield your car. However, you do need to do some research to make sure you get the kind of cover you need.
Before purchasing your cover, be sure to take your car’s measurements carefully. If your cover is too small, it won’t provide adequate coverage. If it’s too large, the cover can bag and bunch, which when wet, can cause damage to your vehicle’s paint job. Custom covers, specific to your car’s make and model, can be a good choice, but can be expensive. Cheaper options can be found if you are diligent to find a cover that fits your measurements, rather than buying a “one size fits all” cover.
Evaluate the kind of environment you live in to determine how much coverage you need with your cover. Depending on what climate you live in, you may need just a thin outdoor cover to keep away rain and dust, or you may need a tough all-season cover to protect from winter snow and road salt, which can erode your car’s paint.
At the very least, a car cover should be waterproof, to protect your car from rust and rot. However, be careful not to purchase a cover that seals your car in completely. You need a car cover that protects from the environment, but still allows air to circulate, otherwise water can become trapped.
A car cover is a terrific option for anyone who wants to protect their car from the outdoors. There are many cheap car cover options available on the market that can fit your needs and provide great coverage, as long as you do a little bit of homework to ensure you make the right choice.

A car is one of the most important things you will own in your lifetime. They are a rite of passage, a way to get to that dream vacation, and a sanctuary on a hot or cold day. They are a marvel of technology and something of which modern life could not function properly without. If a particular model is owned long enough, it may even be considered like a member of the family. But what if this member of your family broke down one day? Not only would you be trapped and unable to get places, but the list of costs to fix it could send your wallet for a loop. That is why proper car maintenance is so very important. Not only will the car last longer, but you and your passengers will remain safe as well.
Take good care of the inside of your vehicle. Vacuum the floor and seats once a month or more so that crumbs and other particles will not build up. Do what you can to keep trash from taking over. It is a good idea to keep some kind of trash bag hanging on the back of the seats, so anything can be disposed of in a proper place. If you do not do this, not only will it look unattractive, but anyone inside will feel uncomfortable. Something may even fly around and injure someone during a car accident.
Get your tires rotated. Even the most diligent car owner tends to forget to have this done. This will keep your tires evenly worn, preventing the car from leaning in one particular direction. If they are too worn or have any dangerous tears and other problems, get them replaced. Otherwise, have the procedure done around every 6,000 miles, or whatever is recommended for your particular model. Refer to the owner’s manual if you aren’t sure.
Make sure to wash the outside of the car, especially during the winter months when snow and ice appear. Take it to a car wash or do it by hand, whichever works better for you.
Finally, invest in a car cover. There are SUV covers, and even a truck cover and Van cover. By using one you protect the car from the harsh elements during the time that it is not in use. Definitely consider one of these if you want to save yourself a lot of trouble down the line.

The keys to negotiating the best price on your new or used car purchase begins with taking control of the negotiations. You don’t need to be at the mercy of the dealers when you walk on a car lot in order to purchase a car. We you visit a car lot it begins with the salesman approaching you as soon as you get out of your car and begin to make your way to the sales floor. By taking control and a few simple techniques you can end up with a deal that can save you a lot of money.
- Do some homework before going to the dealership. There are several services that you can use to find out the Dealers cost on a new vehicle is prior to you submitting your offer to the salesman. Offer less than what you are willing to pay. You have to give something in the negotiation so it can be a win win. Don’t get caught in the trap of talking about monthly payments when you are negotiating. This is a favorite tactic of car sales people. If they can arrive at a monthly payment that you are comfortable with they can hide the true price you will be paying for the car. Always get the negotiating back to the total price they are charging you and worry about payments later.
- You can really increase your chances of saving money by purchasing the last two days of the month. All dealerships and car salesman must make a certain number of sales each month. Also, car manufacturers offer financial incentives to the dealerships once they reach a certain number of units sold in a month.
- You must be willing to walk away. Never fall in love with a particular car because as soon as you do you have lost your advantage. There will always be another car that is just right for you. If the salesman has more room to negotiate you will be amazed how quickly he/she starts to lower the price when you stand up and start to walk out. Once when I was negotiating on a car and they gave me their final offer I said I couldn’t go that high and stood up and started to head to the door and he instantly offered to knock another $450 off the price.
- Keep your talk with the sales person strictly to the negotiations or vehicle in question. They will try to make you feel as if they are your friend so you trust them. They are not interested in being your friend any more than you want to be theirs. Do not give them any information that they can use against you in the negotiation. No personal information other than what is needed to purchase the vehicle.
- Do not sell yourself on buying the car or you have lost your advantage. Make them earn your business by offering you the right price, extra free service for your vehicle, extended warranty coverage and those types of things.

What is your attitude while driving? Having a good driving attitude can help save lives. While it is important to have your vehicle in peak operating condition, it is equally important that you have a safe driver attitude. In order to be a safe driver, you need to develop your driving skills in the following areas:
Responsibility – take responsibility for the safety of yourself, your passengers and other drivers sharing the road with you.
Concentration – concentrate 100% on your driving while behind the wheel. Do not drive if you are tired, not feeling well, upset, or agitated. If any of these conditions exist, take a break before driving, or if you can, don’t drive at all. Do not use your mobile phone while driving. In short, do not do anything else while driving except drive.
Anticipation – anticipate traffic signals changing, fellow drivers changing lanes into your lane in front of you and stay out of blind spots of vehicles traveling next to you.
Patience – do not speed up to keep a car from changing into your lane in front of you. When traffic is heavy, do not weave in and out of traffic to try and get ahead of the traffic. Don’t let other drivers bad driving lead you into a conflict with another driver. Just ignore their mistakes and give them more room.

When you tell someone that you were in a car accident, what is the first question that they usually ask after “Are you OK?” My guess is, “How fast were you going?” The fact is accidents can happen at any speed.
Of course the faster you are going at impact the greater the amount of damage to the vehicles involved, the higher the risk of injury and fatality. Make no mistake, slow moving cars that are involved in accidents can cause damage and injuries also
In fact, in the case of icy road conditions, slow moving cars will increase speed when you apply your brakes to avoid an accident. You will become powerless to control your vehicle to avoid crashing into other cars, buildings, telephone poles and even pedestrians. The best way to avoid an accident while driving in icy conditions is by applying pressure on and off the brakes while steering the car away from possible collisions.
The best way to avoid an accident during icy road conditions is to not drive at all. Unfortunately, most of us do not have that luxury. The next best thing you can do is use snow chains which will give you more traction and control of your vehicle. The last thing you can do to stay safe while driving in these conditions is to keep extra distance between you and the car in front of you giving you more time to react to anything that happens out of the ordinary.

Because the majority of us earn $75,000 per year or less in income, the constant increases in gasoline prices can affect us greatly in terms of our disposable income. There are some things that we all can do to minimize the impact that those price increases will have on us. The most important thing is improve the fuel efficiency of your vehicle. Here are 7 easy tips that you can use immediately to increase the efficiency of your own car, truck or SUV without spending much money at all. In some cases no cost whatsoever.
1) Turn off your car’s air conditioner unless the heat is unbearable. The air conditioner puts an added strain on your engine which reduces its efficiency. Reduced efficiency equals increased mile per gallon cost.
2) Try and avoid driving during high traffic times. If you have to drive during peak traffic times try and find alternate routes that will require less stop-and-go traffic. Starting and stopping your car increases the amount of fuel that you use.
3) Change you oil more frequently during summer months. Extreme heat breaks down the friction reducing qualities of your oil which causes your engine to have to work harder, decreasing fuel efficiency. Use a higher grade oil, whether it’s synthetic or standard oil that’s been treated with a friction-reducing additive. It has been proven by independent testing that better oils can increase fuel efficiency by as much as 12 percent.
4) Use your cruise control whenever it is safe. Steady speeds can boost your vehicle’s efficiency quite a bit and will make driving long distances less stressful.
5) When driving uphill do not increase your car’s speed. Your engine already has to work harder. Conversely, when traveling downhill, take your foot off the gas and see if you can maintain the speed limit without applying more gasoline.
6) Remove any temporary accessories that are on your vehicle like luggage or bike racks from the top or front of your vehicle. These racks reduce the aerodynamics of your vehicle, thereby decreasing your car’s fuel efficiency.
7) While driving at higher speeds, keep your windows closed. Open windows can cause friction and reduce the aerodynamics of your vehicle.

Now that the fall and winter seasons are upon us, most of us will be using our car’s heater on a semi regular basis. It would not be unusual to go four months or more without using the air conditioner in our Car, Truck or SUV and not give it a second thought.
There are a couple of reasons why you should run your air conditioner at least once every two weeks for 10 minutes or more. The first reason is that it will keep the seals of your AC unit lubricated. The majority of the AC systems in vehicles today have self lubricating features. They only work while the system is running.
The second reason is that it is less likely that your system will not work when you go to use it in the spring and summer months. Older AC systems will lose their Freon if you do not use them on a regular basis.
